Hi everyone,
I’m very happy to announce that I’m at a very good point in adding audio spectrum to the KX3 Companion!
I spent most of the weekend working on it 🙂
It’s the most requested feature and I’m sure that it’ll make a lot of users happy.
It’ll be added as an additional panel like the SWR Meter and it’ll be only the audio spectrum for now. I’ll add the waterfall after the first release as I have to evaluate CPU load.
The bandwidth will depend on a number of factors and it is from 3-4 kHz, up. On HD tablets it is be possible to have more. You can increase/decrease the bandwidth shown.
You can tap the audio spectrum and it’ll show the exact frequency value of the point your finger is on.
I’ll try to add something showing where the KX3 center frequency is and probably DSP filter range.
For the first release it won’t be possible to modify the DSP filter center/bandwidth but I’m planning to add.
I’ll surely add a point and click frequency shift, so that if you see a signal in the spectrum you’ll be able to simply touch it and the VFO will move there. Shouldn’t take much and I hope to have it ready for the first release.
The next release should also integrate a first support for VFO B. It’ll be shown below the VFO A and it’ll be possible to switch VFO A/VFO B.
I’m pretty exited about all those new things and I hope you’ll like them.
Stay tuned and if you have any suggestion is more than welcome.
72/73, Andrea IU4APC
P.S. How is the new QSO log management working for you? Did anyone use it on FD 2014?
This sounds great Andrea!
