Hi everyone,

despite of my initial thoughts it seems that I’m able to use an external USB keyboard with the KX3 Companion by using a small USB hub that connects the Android device to the keyboard and the USB Serial cable at the same time.

In my case (I tested it with a Motorola Moto G and a Nexus 7 2013) there’s no need of any additional powering to the USB Hub. I tested different USB keyboards and they all worked.

I even used an Apple keyboard that has two USB ports embedded and attached the USB Serial to one of those (so no additional USB hub) and it worked as well!

That’s great news as that means that a simple cheap USB keyboard can be used without the need of expensive Bluetooth ones.

Anyone tried it? Problems?
